Garden Lighting Installation – Upper Hermitage
This project involved installing new garden lighting, a feature wall light and a dedicated outdoor power point for a water pump in an Upper Hermitage home.
The biggest challenge was getting cable to the new sensor and wall light. The cavity was packed with mortar and there was no access from above due to the flat roof construction, so I utilised the cavity where I could carefully finding a path for the cabling while keeping surface conduit to an absolute minimum. I also ran a separate circuit for the outdoor power point to ensure the water pump had its own dedicated supply.
The garden lights and wall light are all controlled by a sensor, so whether the homeowner is arriving home, parking the car or taking the bins out after dark, the lights come on automatically and light the way. The finished result was a neat installation that improved both the appearance and practicality of the outdoor space.
