Yes. I install additional power points in established homes all the time. Access can sometimes be a bit tricky, but I’ll utilise existing wall and roof cavities wherever possible and keep visible conduit to a minimum.

Can you move an existing power point to a better location?

Usually, yes. If a power point is stuck behind furniture, in an awkward spot or simply no longer suits how you use the room, it can often be relocated. What’s possible depends on the existing wiring and cable access.

Do appliances like ovens and induction cooktops need their own circuit?

Often, yes. Higher powered appliances can require a dedicated circuit rather than simply plugging into or connecting to an existing general power circuit. The requirements depend on the appliance and its electrical load.

Can you install outdoor power points?
