This job was at a house in Hewett where the homeowner had a couple of faulty lights that needed replacing.

After having a look, I suggested upgrading them to modern LED downlights, which would provide better lighting and a cleaner overall finish.

The existing cut outs were larger than the new downlights, so I used flange adapters to suit the existing openings and avoid any patching or ceiling repairs. The lights were controlled by a sensor, which I also replaced while carrying out the work.

While I was there, I also installed two new 240v RF interconnected smoke alarms. This means if one alarm activates, both alarms sound, providing better coverage throughout the home.

Once finished, the homeowner had new LED lighting, a new sensor and upgraded smoke alarm protection.
