New Power Circuit for Pool Equipment – Magill

This job was at a house in Magill where the homeowner was having issues with their pool equipment tripping the circuit. The way it was originally wired, the pool equipment was sharing a circuit with the laundry, which meant the circuit would overload and trip if both were running at the same time.

To fix the issue, I ran a new dedicated power circuit from the switchboard to the pool equipment. The hardest part of this job was there was no roof space or wall cavity available to run the new cable. It was pretty much a concrete jungle, so everything had to be surface mounted.

To keep it looking neat, I matched the existing installation as closely as possible and used surface mounted conduit to blend in with the structure. Now that the pool equipment is on its own circuit, the load has been split up properly and there's no issues running the laundry and pool equipment at the same time.
