Three old ceiling fans replaced for this homeowner in Payneham.

‍

The existing fans were the older style mounted from ceiling hooks, so the new fans couldn't simply be fitted to the existing mounting points.

‍

Fortunately, this one had really good roof access. I was able to install new timber supports above each fan, giving the new fans a nice solid fixing rather than trying to work with the old hook setup.

‍

While I was in the roof space, I also checked the existing smoke alarm and found it was 17 years past its replacement date!!!

‍

I replaced that with a new 240V photoelectric smoke alarm while I was there.

‍

Pretty straightforward job overall. Good access made installing the additional support for the fans nice and easy, and I was able to sort the old smoke alarm at the same time.
