A nice straightforward switchboard upgrade for this homeowner in Melrose Park.

The existing board had older Type AC safety switches protecting multiple circuits, along with a solar and battery system.

I upgraded the protection to individual Type A RCBOs, which are better suited to modern electrical installations and can detect pulsating DC residual currents that Type AC devices aren't designed to detect.

Another benefit of having individual safety switches is that if a fault occurs on one circuit, it won't take out several other circuits at the same time.

Nothing too complicated with this one, just a worthwhile upgrade to bring the switchboard protection up to date.
