A switchboard upgrade completed for this homeowner in Tea Tree Gully.

The existing switchboard had a mixture of older Type AC safety switches, along with multiple circuits that didn't have earth leakage protection at all.

With a new home battery installation planned, it was a good opportunity to get the switchboard sorted first.

‍

I replaced the existing switchgear with individual Type A RCBO safety switches, providing each applicable final subcircuit with its own combined overload and earth leakage protection.

‍

Apart from that, this one was pretty straightforward. Everything fitted nicely into the existing switchboard enclosure, the circuits were tested and the board was left nice and neat.

A worthwhile upgrade that improves the electrical safety of the home and gets the switchboard ready for the upcoming battery installation.
