New lighting and a ceiling fan installed for this outdoor area in Lobethal.

The plan was to install new LED downlights and a ceiling fan underneath the recently built veranda. I was originally told there would be access available to run the new cabling, but once I got into the job, that unfortunately wasn't the case.

The house had a clad exterior, flat roof and solar panels above, which left very little access to get the new cables where they needed to go.

This one definitely took a bit more patience than expected.

After working through a few different options, I spoke with the homeowner and ended up making a small number of access holes inside the home so I could get the cabling through neatly and securely. I kept these to a minimum and got everything where it needed to go without having conduit running everywhere outside.

While I was there, I also installed a new outdoor spotlight and reinstated the electrical supply to the garage, which had been disconnected while the new veranda was being built.

Definitely took longer than expected, but I got it all sorted in the end. Everything was tested on completion and the homeowner was happy with the finished result.
